Butterpourri: Movie Review – Futurama on DVD

Big fan of Futurama? I know I am. It’s probably one of my favorite shows ever, and if your like me (you’d be really awesome) you’re getting kinda sick of seeing the same old episodes again and again on Adult Swim.

Well it’s your lucky day my friend. The first of 4 feature length movies came out on DVD a couple weeks ago. The first, called Bender’s Big Score, is a hoot. It has all the familiar faces we’ve come to know and love. Right down to Scruffy. (the names Scruffy he’s the janitor).

The whole movie revolves around earth being scammed ‘Nigerian Style’ and leads to a very confusing, yet wildly entertaining time-travel conundrum. Matt Groening and Team did an outstanding job tying this movie together within itself and by keeping true to it’s roots from the old TV show. Some of my favorite moments are when Hermes gets decapitated and when Bender saws off the Professors arm. Great stuff, I tell you. I don’t want to give to much away, so I’ll just say if you’re even remotely a fan of Futurama, Matt Groening, or even Billy West, you do not want to miss this.

DVD extra’s include the Hypno-toad show, and a physics lesson.

Agent Butters rating is a whopping 4 1/2 sticks of margarine out of 5
