After two days and four shows in Muscatine, IA, we made it back to the Cedar Rapids / Iowa City Corridor exausted, but happy. The audience was great and Agent Rutabega had the audience in stiches with his George Bush and Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonations. I mean, how can one NOT laugh hysterically watching Agent Mojo attempt to purchase a Dog Poop Purse, while ‘The Governator’ continues to yell, “Buy something, damn you! California is going broke. Buy something. Anything!”
Of course, the real highlight for us was opening for Alex Ortiz. Simply one of the funniest comedians we have EVER worked with and man…the stories he could tell. He’s one of the those comedians who is currently taking meetings with several Hollywood big-wigs. We’ll be surprised if we don’t see him on a sit-com within the year.
We really enjoyed chatting with Alex between sets. Alex may be a crazy guy on the stage, but sitting down and talking with the guy, you realize how humble he is. He is definitely amazed by the success he’s had so far.
